“NTC NefteGazDiagnostika continually (since 2009) performed inline cleaning and inspection of the offshore pipeline OIFP – OTT (Dn 235 mm) at the oilfield n.a. Y. Korchagin located in the Northern Caspian Sea both before commissioning and in process of operation.

Oil pipeline cleaning and inspections were performed using a set of equipment including both cleaning and inspection pigs and underwater special-purpose equipment for pig tracking, detection and pipeline marking. All equipment was prepared based on its use in the offshore pipeline under the conditions of remote offshore location. NTC NefteGazDiagnostika managed engagement of NTC NefteGazDiagnostika partners’ vessels, professional divers and offshore machinery and equipment. Works were performed using recent developments, equipment and know-how in line with the effective Russian Federation regulations, standards and rules, per the Task Order and Contract Terms with the required quality and within the established deadlines.

In process of work performance Customer’s requests and the challenges of assigned tasks were taken into account to the maximum possible extent. During oil pipeline commissioning internal cleaning from large-scale paraffin buildup was successfully performed.

The pipeline welds and walls condition inspection was completed by a comprehensive Technical Report submission including a detailed description of all pipeline features and defects and a package of strength and reliability analyses. In addition inspections were performed to identify any pipeline position displacement during its operation after construction completion.

Following the inline inspection findings the identified defects were repaired and welds were reinforced using UKMT sleeves designed and manufactured by NTC NefteGazDiagnostika.
